Summary
Remarks upon a book of Mr. Hickeringill's, which has provoked censure; allusions to two prosecutions engaged in by the writer some time before in the Court of Arches against [John] Butler [B. D.] for writing a pernicious book on marriage, and against Dr. [Will.] Coward; is endeavouring to procure the settlement of a chaplain at the factory at Leghorn; the Grand Duke of Florence has presented him with a copy of the agreement made between the Greek and Latin Churches at the Council of Florence, which he designs for the public library at Oxford; sends an account of Grotius, not generally known, which he wrote to a learned man at Rome; wrote a paper about Bishops' preaching, which the Pope has commended.
