Includes correspondence with G.W. Wheland, 1937, 1941, and typescript plans and drafts for two papers with the title 'The Electronic structure of graphite I and II' by Coulson and J.E. Lennard-Jones.

Publication of these collaborative papers was interrupted by the outbreak of war, and Coulson reworked the material for later publication, in collaboration with M. Bradburn and G.S. Rushbrooke, in 1948.
