Ātashkadah is one of the most renowned memoirs of the Persian poets of the 18th century that was compiled by Āzar Bīgdilī between 1760-1779. This memoir includes biographies and samples of works of c.850 poets. Ātashkadah consists of an introduction and two 'majmar' [censers]. The introduction contains the history of Iran from the Afghan Invasion to the government of Karim Khan Zand. The first 'censer' is made of three 'akhgar' [sparks], eleven 'sharārah' [flares], two 'shuʿāʿ' [gleams], and one 'furūgh' [blaze], and includes biographies and poetry of poets from Iran, Turan and India.
