Fols. 1–13 in a neat gothic textualis quadrata; thereafter several anglicana hands.
Decoration
Red initials, paraphs, underlining and highlighting; highlighting also in yellow.
Binding
Standard Merton s. xvii, repaired, rebacked and resewn on four bands; formerly chained from the usual position. Fols. i-iii, 486–8 are modern paper blanks. Fols. i-ii are binding leaves of s. xvii, fol. i from the same book as in MS 84.

Made in England; at the College by 1556: UO65. 158.
At the head of fol. 1 is the James no. ‘129’, s. xvii in.
Inside the front board is a sheet of paper with a title and ‘G. 2, 4’ (canc.), s. xvii, and ‘P. 1. 14. Art:’, canc. and replaced with ‘O. 2. 9’ and ‘No. CCXVII’ in red; the College bookplate.
