Provenance

On the front pastedown is an erased two-line inscription, s. xiv: ‘Liber ex procuracione ?magistri Philippi de Shea’.

At the College by c. 1500. On the rear board, near the foot, are the marks of the large iron chain-staple, superseded by a brass one, the first under, the second over the overcover. On the overcover at the rear is inked ‘K 20’ or ‘R 20’, and a much-rubbed title, of indeterminate date, but perhaps s. xiv. Near the foot of the foredge of the front board, on the overcover, is the mark of the usual brass chain-staple. On the front pastedown are ‘Petri Lombardi Collectanea in Epistolas Pauli’, ‘F. 15. 5’, and ‘O. 7. 11. Art:’, all s. xvii, the third canc. and replaced with ‘No. CLXXXIII’ and ‘O. 3. 6’, in red ink; the College bookplate. On the foredge is inked ‘22’, apparently corr. to ‘11’.
