Hands
The text and gloss written in different styles, perhaps in different hands, of protogothic bookhand . Punctuation by pointand medial point in the text, by point only in the gloss.
Decoration
At the head, a red and gold 13-gloss-line high arabesque initial.
Red marginal markers to align the text and contents table, which divides the text into 144 capitula; red paraphs and some red-slashed capitals at textual divisions.
Binding
A modern replacement. Sewn on five thongs. At the front, a marbled paper leaf, two modern paper flyleaves, and a medieval vellum flyleaf (fol. iv); at the rear, a medieval vellum flyleaf (probably a former pastedown), two modern paper flyleaves, and another marbled paper leaf (v–viii).
Acquisition
‘Liber Collegij Divi Ioannis Baptistae Oxon’ ex dono Magistri Ioannis Stonor de Northstoke in Comitatu Oxon ’ Generosi’ (fol. 2 , upper margin).
Provenance
